BIO

Born in Odesa, Ukraine, I am a musicologist, composer, organist, pianist, and cultural manager with over a decade of experience in the arts. I hold two degrees from the Odesa National Musical Academy — a Bachelor's in Composition (2020) and a Master's in Musicology (2021). I also studied organ performance for 3 years and currently serve as the organist at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Odesa.
Since 2015, I have actively performed as a soloist and chamber musician at venues across Ukraine and Europe. My repertoire includes both classical and contemporary works, with a special focus on modern Ukrainian music. I strive to present Ukrainian cultural identity through sound — especially in times of resistance and renewal.
As a musicologist, my research explores the intersection of music and movement in modern ballet, as well as the impact of historical and social contexts on artistic creation. I have authored numerous lectures and articles on Ukrainian music, modern ballet, and music in visual media.
I am the founder and artistic director of the “Spirit of Music” project (since 2019), dedicated to reimagining classical concerts through multimedia, performance, and storytelling. Through this project, I have organized over 100 events, including baroque and contemporary music concerts, lecture-performances, and the launch of a music hall at the Museum of the Filatov Institute. My work has helped raise funds for instrument restoration, including the repair of an electronic organ and the launch of a pipe organ restoration campaign.
Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, I’ve worked internationally as a cultural ambassador. I’ve performed charity concerts in France, Italy, Finland, and Ukraine, collaborating with institutions such as the European Commission in Italy, the Lviv Organ Hall, and the Nikolaikirche in Potsdam. These events raise awareness of Ukrainian music and help support humanitarian efforts in Eastern and Southern Ukraine.
With over eight years of experience in creative marketing, PR, and certified project management, I combine artistic and strategic thinking in everything I do. I believe in the power of music to connect, communicate, and transform, and I dedicate my work to making Ukrainian voices heard on the global stage.

"The concert was much appreciated by those present, won over by the strength and at the same time by the delicacy of the Ukrainian pianist Yulia Yurchak, both in her solo performances and in her duo with the Italian violinist."
